Noël Furniture to Close After 50 Years in Business
Furniture World News Desk
HOUSTON, Texas – Noël Furniture, a luxury home furnishings retailer and design center, is going out of business after 50 years of operation. The company will begin a liquidation sale on June 5, following the sale of its Houston property.
Founded in 1976, Noël Furniture was known for offering brand-name luxury furniture and design services. The retailer has been recognized as a major dealer for brands such as Marge Carson and Christopher Guy. Owner Tod Noël established and managed the business for five decades, operating a single Houston showroom focused on maintaining a distinctive customer experience.
Noël Furniture partnered with Planned Furniture Promotions (PFP) to conduct the final sale event. Tom Liddell, senior vice president of PFP, said, “The level of discipline and excellence Tod maintained over five decades is extraordinary. We’re honored to help bring a respectful close to one of the industry’s most admired luxury retailers.”
Throughout its history, Noël Furniture worked with a clientele that included celebrities and professional athletes. The company has also been involved with community organizations such as St. Jude, American Heart Association, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and Peach Outreach. Tod Noël indicated that he may pursue smaller, design-focused ventures after closing the store.
