Palo Alto, Calif. – Houzz Inc. has launched a suite of AI-powered documentation and communication features for its Houzz Pro mobile app, aimed at helping construction and design professionals organize project decisions, reduce miscommunication, and manage remote work more effectively.
The new tools include compliant call recording with automatic transcription and summaries, enabling professionals to capture conversations about project changes and next steps directly within the app. A two-way video walkthrough feature allows field teams to document jobsite progress with narrated video, which is automatically transcribed and stored in project files.
To address communication across language barriers, Houzz Pro now offers built-in messaging translations for 10 languages, giving users the option to view or replace original messages with translated text. The app also features an offline mode, allowing users to access project details and add notes in areas with limited connectivity. Offline information is automatically synced when the device reconnects.
These updates are available to all Houzz Pro subscribers and are integrated with other project management features such as Schedules, Estimates, Financials, and Client Communications.
According to Alon Cohen, Houzz co-founder and CEO, the new tools are designed to help professionals organize conversations and documentation within the project workflow. Cohen said, “With these new mobile tools, pros can automatically capture and organize critical project information, creating a reliable record that keeps teams aligned and reduces miscommunication helping projects run more smoothly.”
Brown Design and Construction CEO and president Josh Brown said the app’s enhancements have simplified project documentation for his team, saving time and keeping clients informed.
